Kendall Tavern Inn B&B is where your Maine Experience begins. Built in the early 1800’s the Kendall claims a corner spot in a quiet historic residential area located on Main Street in Freeport. A quiet spot but just a short walk to Freeport Village where all the shopping is anchored by the home of L.L.Bean. The L.L. Bean campus offers activities like free concerts, annual festivals and holiday fireworks in addition to 4 free standing stores. Freeport Village offers free parking and over 100 local shops and restaurants.
Freeport, just like it was 2 centuries ago,is the best starting point for new or returning Maine travelers. A short drive to the South will lead you to the foodie city of Portland, a Bon Appetite Magazine City of the Year. For a bigger experience the more adventurous head further South along Route 1 looking for walking trails along the beach, antique shops, fresh seafood, beautiful period mansions,and breathtaking scenery.
So pack your camera, hiking shoes and bathing suits. We have the maps, picnic baskets, beach towels and the concierge experience to send you out on daily adventures. Head North to Brunswick and discover the museums at Bowdoin College detailing the history of Artic Discoveries, Harriett Beecher Stowe,and Civil War hero General Joshua Chamberlain.Keep pointed North for a visit to Popham Beach, one of Maine’s best. And just around the next bend you will find the heart of Maine’s beautiful Mid-Coast,home to the iconic destinations of Boothbay Harbor, Rockland, Rockportand, Camden, all within a short drive.

WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY
Kendall Inn is a beautiful property is a great location, easy walk into Freeport, and convenient for nearby attractions. Hosts Mark and Nancy went beyond our expectations to make us welcome and ensure we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Can’t say enough good things about the breakfast! Will definitely return!
HAD A GREAT STAY AT KTI
We stayed with Mark and Nancy again this year after staying there last year. The Inn has a quiet charm that you cannot get in a hotel. It is located in a quiet part of town but stiĺl is only a minute from the shops and restaurants. Mark and Nancy are friendly and véry accommodating. The cookie jar is always full, the coffee is on early and breakfast is filling and tasty. See you next year.

Kendall Inn is a family-run B&B in Freeport, Maine that manages to both pamper and make you feel at home. Like all the best Maine B&Bs, the owners go all-out to vie for the best breakfast. Owners Mark and Nancy have a good division of labor, she the able cook, he the affable host.

A visit to the KTI is like visiting old friends. Mark & Nancy are gracious, welcoming hosts that make you feel right at home. The Inn is charming, clean & comfortable and perfectly located in the town of Freeport close to shops and restaurants. Nancy is an amazing cook and the breakfast spread is utterly delicious. We are frequent visitors and have yet to eat the same thing twice!! We have stayed in many places over the years when we travel to Maine, yet for the past 5 years we have chosen to return to the KTI for or annual Freeport visit. I highly recommend a stay at the KTI
