Kendall Tavern Inn Policies
Arrivals and Departures: Check in is from 3pm to 7pm. If you know that you will be arriving after 7 pm please call the inn to make arrangements for a late check-in. Check out is at 11am. We recognize travel schedules can change and will gladly offer to store your luggage, allow you to park your car on the premises, and give you access to our common areas if your travel times vary. We are happy to admit early arrivals if your room is ready. Please call ahead.
Rates are based on single or double occupancy. There is a $30 charge for each extra person in a room.
Cuisine: A full 3-course breakfast is served each morning between 8 and 9 am in the dining room. Special dietary needs are happily accommodated with advance notice. Baked treats are provided in the library in the late afternoon/early evening with coffee, tea, and water around the clock.
Payment: A $50.00 deposit will be taken at time of registration .Full payment is expected upon arrival. Posted rates do not include 9% Maine sales tax, which will be added to the total bill, and noted in your confirmation email. We accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel your reservation we request that you notify us via phone (not email) at least 7 days prior to your arrival date to receive a refund on your deposit. All cancellations will incur a $25.00 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days from your arrival date will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to one nights stay or 50% of your total reservation, whichever is higher. If you do not arrive, or if cancellation is made on the first day of your reservation, you will be charged the full amount of your stay. These fees will be waived if we are able to fill your room with the exception of the $25.00 cancellation fee. If cancellation is a possibility we suggest the purchase of travel insurance.
Weddings, Special Events, and Multi-room bookings: Please call lif you would like to book for your special event. Any group reservations for 2 or more rooms at any time will be subject to a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total bill with full payment due 30 days prior to arrival.. Room Selection: We will make every effort to honor your request for a particular room. If you have booked a room for only one night, we reserve the right to change you to a similar room to accommodate those staying longer. We will notify you via email of these changes.
Minimum stays and rates: For sesonal, special events, holidays, and festival times we may require a 2 night minimum stay. Please call for availability.
Safety and Health: Kendall Tavern Inn is a smoke-free property, including the porch and outside areas. Those choosing to disregard our smoke-free policy will be subject to room cleaning fees and are responsible to compensate us for cleaning and any lost revenue when smoke renders a room unacceptable for incoming guests.
Families: Children are welcome at the Kendall Tavern Inn B&B with their well-behaved parents. Our property is not childproofed and we require parents to have their children with them at all times. Our bed and breakfast does not include high chairs, roll-away beds or a children’s menu. We do have one portable crib availalbe on a first come basis.
